Royal Ulster welcomes guests at any time but the following rules apply.
YOUNG MEMBERS AND GUESTS
Members, Associates and guests under 18 years of age using the Main Bar, Stranger's Room of Dining Room must:

Be in the company of a Member or Associate over 18.

Be seated away from the Bar.

Leave the Club by 9pm (8pm if under 10), unless dining, attending a Club function, a private function, or visiting the Club after taking part in Club racing events.
Members or guests under 18 are not allowed in the Back Bar at any time.
Members, Associates, or guests under 21 must be accompanied by a Member or Associate when using the Billiard Room.
All children under 12 on the premises or in the Club Grounds must be under the direct and personal supervision of a Member, Associate or guest at all times.
DRESS CODE
Members are expected to at all times dress and conduct themselves in an appropriate manner. However, the following is provided to indicate a minimum standard of dress that should be adhered to at all times.
Front Bar and Stranger’s Room:
Smart casual at all times with the exception of Club sailing events when more casual dress is permitted.
Dining Room
Lunch smart casual Tuesday to Saturday.
Sunday Lunch -jacket and tie.
Dinner -jacket and tie Saturday.
Smart casual at all other times.
Thursday sailing and other sailing events.
A more casual dress is permitted throughout the Club.
Back Bar
The dress code for the Back Bar is relaxed to a more casual attire at all times.
Younger Member and Guests
The dress code for younger members and guests (early teens and below) is relaxed for their comfort but should be smart at all times.
Smart casual for gentlemen exculdes denim of any kind, shirts or T-shirts without collars, rugby shirts, or other similar sporting attire.
Smart casual dress for ladies should be similarly appropriate and also excludes denim.
MOBILE PHONES
The use of mobile phones in the Clubhouse is not permitted.
GRATUITIES
Gratuities to staff are not permitted but the Club maintains a fund for the benefit of staff, and members and guests are free to contribute to this at any time through the Honorary Treasurer, Honorary Secretary, or Club Manager.
PHOTOGRAPHS
The taking of photographs within the Club premises is not permitted without prior permission. In addition, no photographs may be used in any publication without permission being granted. Requests for approval for the taking of photographs, or for publication should be made in writing to the Honorary Secretary.
PRIVATE FUNCTIONS
Members may requests the hire of the Club rooms for private use. Requests should be made in writing to the Honorary Secretary at least two days but preferably fourteen days in advance.

In addition there are a number of membership grades held by members that are no longer available.
Information on the definition and eligibility for each category is available from the Club office.
Subject to vacancies, members of not less than three years standing may nominate a candidate for election. Nomination forms are available from the Club office. |
