The Sir Thomas Lipton Memorial Cup

This perpetual trophy in memory of Sir Thomas Lipton is awarded to the club of the winning challenger in the series of races leading up to the America’s Cup. As Sir Thomas Lipton issued five challenges, on each occasion as a member of Royal Ulster Yacht Club, a presentation by
RUYC, to the club winner of the Challenger series, usually takes place
at a reception the day before the final of the America’s Cup races.
Some photographs of past presentations can be seen in the Lipton Room
